Privacy Policy

Overview

Voyivo is a travel itinerary planner for creating, organizing, syncing, and mapping trips. This Privacy Policy explains how Voyivo collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes information when you use the Voyivo Android app, website, backend services, and related support channels.

Voyivo is currently in closed beta. Some features may change before wider public availability, but our privacy commitments in this policy apply to the information we collect today.

Legal Bases

Where privacy laws require a legal basis for processing, Voyivo processes personal information because it is needed to provide the service you requested, because you gave permission, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing Voyivo, or because we need to comply with legal obligations.

Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, Firebase user ID, sign-in provider, display name, avatar URL, and account timestamps.
• Email verification: email address, one-time code request, verification status, delivery metadata, and related logs needed to send and protect OTP emails.
• Trip and itinerary content: trip titles, destinations, descriptions, dates, itinerary item titles, item types, times, notes, accommodation check-in/check-out dates, place names, place IDs, addresses, latitude/longitude coordinates, sort order, route preferences, and sync metadata.
• Collaboration data: collaborator user IDs, roles, invitations, accepted timestamps, and trip access records.
• Photos and media: profile photos and uploaded trip cover images you choose to add, plus photo URLs and attribution metadata for destination or place images returned by third-party image providers.
• Location and map-related data: saved place coordinates in your itinerary. If you grant location permission, Voyivo may use your device location to center the map or improve place search context. Voyivo does not use background location tracking.
• Subscription data: product IDs, entitlement status, expiry dates, RevenueCat event IDs, Google Play purchase state, and related webhook payloads needed to confirm access.
• Device, diagnostics, and usage data: app version, device and operating-system information, crash reports, error logs, server logs, network status, and basic website access logs.
• Support communications: messages you send to us, including any contact details and screenshots or trip details you choose to include.

Website Logs And Cookies

The current getvoyivo.com website is a simple static site and does not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may still process basic access logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and request time for security, debugging, and reliability. If Voyivo later adds a web app, analytics, or cookie-based features, we will update this policy before relying on them.

How We Use Information

• To create and authenticate your account.
• To verify your email address and protect sign-up flows.
• To save, sync, display, and restore your trips across devices.
• To provide itinerary maps, route drawing, route optimization, and directions links.
• To fetch place details, destination photos, and item photos.
• To enable collaboration and role-based trip sharing.
• To process subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage premium access.
• To send local reminders if you enable notification permissions.
• To diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, secure the service, and improve reliability.
• To send transactional messages, product updates, and support responses.
• To respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.

Third-Party Services

Voyivo uses trusted service providers to run the app. These providers process information only as needed for their services:

• Firebase: authentication, storage for uploaded images, and Crashlytics diagnostics.
• Google: Google sign-in, Google Places, Google Play Billing, and Android platform services.
• Mapbox: maps, route drawing, directions, and backend-owned route optimization.
• RevenueCat: subscription entitlement management and purchase webhook delivery.
• Resend: OTP and system email delivery from noreply@send.getvoyivo.com.
• Mailgun: inbound email forwarding for booking-import drafts.
• Aiven: managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
• Render: backend and static website hosting.
• Unsplash, Google Places, and Pexels: destination and place photo lookup, including attribution metadata.

If you forward a booking confirmation to a trip-specific Voyivo import address, Voyivo uses the email content only to create review drafts for that trip. Forwarded emails do not silently create itinerary items; you must review and confirm extracted details before they are added.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:

• With service providers listed above so Voyivo can function.
• With collaborators you choose to invite to a trip.
• When required by law, legal process, security, or fraud-prevention needs.
• If Voyivo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate protection for user data.

Your Choices

• You can edit or delete trips and itinerary items inside the app.
• You can remove uploaded profile or trip images where the app provides that control.
• You can decline location, photo, and notification permissions in Android settings. Some features may be limited without those permissions.
• You can cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
• You can opt out of non-essential marketing or product-update emails by using the unsubscribe option if provided or by contacting support.
• You can request account and associated data deletion by emailing support@getvoyivo.com.

Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, contact support@getvoyivo.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

Retention And Deletion

We keep account, trip, collaboration, subscription, and support data for as long as needed to provide Voyivo, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, secure the service, and maintain business records. Deleted trips and itinerary items may be retained temporarily as sync tombstones so devices can reconcile changes.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account unless we need to retain limited records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution reasons. We aim to complete account deletion requests within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Security

We use Firebase authentication, HTTPS, managed database hosting, access controls, and operational safeguards to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password, protect your Google account, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children

Voyivo is not designed for children and should not be used by people who are not old enough to create an account or consent to these terms under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Voyivo, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

International Processing

Voyivo and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Voyivo changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on this website.
